Carrier Plate - Removal

REMOVAL

NOTE: For the power sliding door procedures, refer to the POWER SLIDING DOOR SYSTEM.





1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the mounting fasteners (2) from the door bezel (1).
3. Remove the bezel from the sliding door.





4. Remove the mounting fastener (3).
5. Remove the upper rear molding assembly.
6. Using a trim stick or equivalent, carefully pry the door trim panel away from the door.
7. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
8. Remove the sliding door trim panel from the vehicle.





9. Remove the door glass. Sliding Door Glass - Removal.
10. Remove the front latch screws.
11. Remove the rear latch screws.
12. Remove the lower glass channel screws.
13. Disconnect the lower electrical connector.
14. Disconnect the exterior door handle cable.
15. Remove the hold open latch. Sliding Door Latch - Removal.
16. Remove the door module mounting fasteners (1).
17. Remove the door module (3), by lowering the front of the module and raising the rear, while gently pulling the door module up and out.
