B185F-PASSENGER WINDOW MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
Whenever the window motor is operating.
- Set Condition:
When both Passenger Window Driver circuits (Up and Down) are grounded during a window movement command, this code will set.
- NOTE: Even though the Left Hand Drive vehicles are NOT equipped with Express Up Windows, the circuits are still named Express if the vehicle has the Driver Express Up feature.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
NOTE: This test shows text for a Left Hand Drive (LHD) vehicle. Right Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles use the same cavities. Refer to the schematic for difference in names and circuit numbers.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
3. Try to operate the Passenger Window up and down several times.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B185F-PASSENGER WINDOW MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. WINDOW MOTOR SHORTED
1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Disconnect the Passenger Window Motor connector.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Operate the passenger window switch up and down several times.
6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B185F-PASSENGER WINDOW MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?
No
- Replace the Window Motor (regulator).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
Yes
- Go To 3
3. (Q322) RIGHT FRONT WINDOW EXPRESS DOWN DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C4 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between Ground and the (Q322) Right Front Window Express Down Driver circuit.
Is the resistance below 1,000 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (Q322) Right Front Window Express Down Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 4
4. (Q312) RIGHT FRONT WINDOW EXPRESS UP DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
1. Measure the resistance between Ground and the (Q312) Right Front Window Express Up Driver circuit.
Is the resistance below 1,000 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (Q312) Right Front Window Express Up Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 5
5. (Q322) RIGHT FRONT WINDOW EXPRESS DOWN DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO (Q312) RIGHT FRONT WINDOW EXPRESS UP DRIVER CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (Q322) Right Front Window Express Down Driver circuit and the (Q312) Right Front Window Express Up Driver circuit.
Is the resistance below 1,000 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (Q322) Right Front Window Express Down Driver circuit for a short to the (Q312) Right Front Window Express Up Driver circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
