Vehicle Theft Security Hood Ajar Switch - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Unlatch and open the hood.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Partially remove the grille panel (1) from the front of the vehicle. Grille - Removal.
4. From the top of the hood ajar switch (2) on the front end module carrier to the right of the hood latch, squeeze the two switch latch tabs together and pull the switch upward.
5. Pull the hood ajar switch up through the mounting hole far enough to access and disconnect the wire harness connector (3) from the switch connector receptacle.
6. Remove the hood ajar switch from the vehicle.
