Turbocharger - Removal

6.7L DIESEL





1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Drain the coolant from the radiator and engine.Service and Repair
3. Remove the air filter housing. Air Cleaner - Removal
4. Remove the charge air cooler inlet tube at the turbocharger inlet (4).
5. Disconnect the turbocharger speed sensor electrical connector.
6. Disconnect the turbocharger actuator electrical connector (6).
7. Remove the turbocharger oil pressure line (3).
8. Remove the turbocharger coolant lines at engine block.
9. Loosen and position aside RH engine mount. Engine Mount Insulator - Removal
10. Remove exhaust steady rest bracket from transmission.
11. Remove V-clamp from turbocharger exhaust outlet (1).
12. Remove the turbocharger drain tube mounting bolts at the turbocharger.
13. Remove the turbocharger drain tube (7) from the cylinder block.
14. Lower the vehicle.
15. Using Tool 9866, remove the turbocharger mounting nuts (2).
16. Remove the turbocharger (5) from the vehicle.
