Lumbar Support - Removal






REMOVAL





1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. Service Precautions

CAUTION: Care must be taken not to damage the handle or bezel surface when removing.

2. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755) or equivalent, pry the manual lumbar knob out of the bezel surround.





3. Remove the bezel retaining screws (2) and remove the bezel (3).





4. Push in the buttons on both headrest sleeves, pull the headrest up and remove.





5. Separate the J-straps (1 AND 2) and position the seat back cover up over the seat back frame.





6. Twist the inner bezel (3) and remove it from the actuator (2).





7. Twist the actuator (1) and unlock it from the seat back frame (2).





8. Separate the actuator (1) from the seat back frame (2).





9. Release the actuator cable (3) support clips and separate the support cable (3) from the seat back frame.





10. Loosen the lumbar support spring by pulling out of the seat back frame (1) and release the clip (2).





11. Remove the clip (1) from the spring (2) and separate the spring from the seat back frame.





12. Remove the lumbar assembly (1), the springs (4) and the actuator cable assembly (3) from the seat back.
