Intake and Exhaust Valves - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Remove the cylinder head Cylinder Head - Removal.
2. Compress valve springs using Valve Spring Compressor C-3422-D (1) and valve spring adapter 8464.





3. Remove valve retaining locks (1) , valve spring retainers (2) , valve springs (6), and valve stem seals (3).
4. Before removing valves (4,5) , remove any burrs from valve stem lock grooves to prevent damage to the valve guides. Identify valves to ensure installation in original location.
