Engine - Installation

ENGINE ASSEMBLY










1. Lower the engine and transmission into the vehicle.





2. Install the left front engine mount bolts.





3. Install the front right engine mount bolts.










4. Remove the engine removal chains.
5. Install the rear engine mount.
6. Install the propeller shaft and bolts on then manual transmission.
7. Attach the power take-off connections.
8. Install the propeller shaft center support bearing on frame floor assembly.










9. Connect exhaust system between catalytic converter and diesel particulate filter.
10. Install the power steering lines at the power steering pump.
11. Connect the ECM.
12. Connect the engine ground.





13. Install the vacuum line at the vacuum pump.










14. Install the lower radiator hose at the radiator.
15. Install the upper radiator hose at the radiator.
16. Install the coolant lines to the heater core.
17. Fill the coolant.Service and Repair
18. Connect the oxygen sensors.










19. Attach shift cables on manual transmission.
20. Connect the speed sensors on transmission.
21. Install the battery tray for additional battery.
22. Connect lines to the battery, detach battery and push to the side, disconnect positive line to terminal and expose.





23. Install the front module.
24. Install the trim panel on left cylinder head cover.
25. Install the trim panel on right cylinder head cover.
26. Install the holder for air filter housing to front plate.





27. Install the hot film mass air flow sensor.
28. Install the intake manifold pressure sensor.
29. Connect electrical connector at intake manifold pressure sensor.
30. Install the air filter housing bracket to the bulkhead.
31. Connect the jump-starting point on air filter housing and place to one side.
32. Connect electrical connectors.
33. Install air intake hose downstream of air filter on air filter housing.





34. Connect the remote battery ground.

36. Close the hood.
