Air Cleaner Body - Removal






REMOVAL





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) (2) harness connectors.
3. Disconnect the air intake air pressure sensor (3) harness connectors.
4. Loosen the clamp (1) and disconnect the air cleaner outlet tube from the air cleaner housing (4).
5. Disconnect the air cleaner inlet tube (5).






NOTE: The lock tab is located on the bottom of the terminal.

6. If equipped, release the lock tab and pull up to remove the positive battery terminal lead (1) from the air cleaner housing.





7. Pulling upward to release the front tabs (1) and remove the air cleaner assembly.

Intake Air Tube

NOTE: The air cleaner assembly should already be removed.





1. Remove the bolt (2) and the oil fill tube (1).





2. Remove bolts (2) and the engine cover (1).
3. Remove the insulating cover (3) from the cylinder head cover.






NOTE: During removal of the CCV, DO NOT disconnect CCV hose at the Air Tube.

4. Remove bolts (1) and the CCV (2) from cylinder head cover (3).





5. Disconnect the CCV heater harness connector (1).
6. Loosen the clamp (2) on the turbocharger inlet end.
7. Remove the intake air tube (3) from turbocharger and ensure that orange seal is not rolled or damaged.
