Front A/C Condenser Fan - Removal

REMOVAL






NOTE: Illustration shown with upper front fascia removed for clarity.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the grille Grille - Removal.
3. Remove the lower front fascia.
4. Remove the bolt (4) that secures the power steering cooler (5) to the left side of the A/C condenser fan assembly (2).
5. Disengage the retaining tab (6) that secures the power steering cooler to the right side of the A/C condenser fan assembly and position the cooler out of the way.
6. Disconnect the wire harness lead (7) from the lower right of the A/C condenser fan assembly.
7. Remove the four bolts (1 and 3) that secure the A/C condenser fan assembly to the radiator.
8. Carefully remove the A/C condenser fan assembly from the front of the engine compartment.





9. If replacement of a condenser fan is required, proceed to step 10.
10. Remove the screen (1) from in front of the fan motor (2) being serviced by rotating the screen counterclockwise until all screen retaining tabs have been disengage from the fan shroud (5).
11. Disconnect the wire harness lead connector (4) from the fan motor (2) being serviced.
12. Remove the three screws (3) that secure each fan motor to the back of the fan shroud and remove the fans as necessary.
