Front Lower Control Arm - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Raise and support vehicle. Maintenance




2. Remove wheel mounting nuts (3), then tire and wheel assembly (1). Tires and Wheels - Removal

3. Remove knuckle. Front Steering Knuckle - Removal




4. If left side lower control arm is being serviced and vehicle is equipped with 62TE (6-speed) automatic transaxle, perform the following:
a. Remove front and rear engine mount thru-bolts (4 - front shown - rear similar).
b. Rotate the lower portion of the engine and transaxle forward.
c. With the engine and transaxle in this position, perform the next step.





5. Remove front bolt (1) attaching lower control arm (2) to crossmember (4).
6. Remove rear bolt (3) and nut attaching lower control arm (2) to crossmember (4).
7. Remove lower control arm (2).
