Mirror Lamp - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: The Light Emitting Diode (LED) and printed circuit board for these lamps are serviced only as a unit with the lamp and lens assembly. If any part of these lamps is damaged or ineffective, the entire lamp assembly must be replaced.





1. Pull the mirror wire harness connector for the lamp out through the lamp (3) mounting hole of the mirror housing (1) far enough to reconnect the lamp pigtail wire connector (2).
2. Position the outboard end of the lamp into the outboard side of the mounting hole in the mirror housing.
3. Tuck the lamp wiring into the mirror housing through the mounting hole.





4. Align the inboard end of the lamp with the inboard end of the mounting hole in the mirror housing.
5. Push the inboard end of the lamp into the mounting hole until the integral lamp retaining tab (2) fully engages the inside of the mirror housing with an audible click.





6. Reinstall the mirror glass and holder (1) into the mirror housing (2). Outside Rearview Mirror - Installation.
