B1270-LEFT REAR HEATED SEAT HI INDICATOR CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH
- When Monitored:
Ignition on, during the heated seat operation.
- Set Condition:
The Door Module Rear Left (DMRL) detects excessive voltage on the heated seat indicator control circuit.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's.
2. Operate the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch in both positions several times.
3. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. DISCONNECT THE LEFT REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH AND RE-READ DTC
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch harness connector.
3. With the scan tool erase DTC's.
4. Cycle the ignition switch off then back on.
5. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
3. DISCONNECT THE LEFT REAR DOOR MODULE C2 HARNESS CONNECTOR AND CHECK FOR VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.
NOTE: Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the voltage of the (P183) Left Rear Heated Seat High Indicator Driver circuit at the Left Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the (P183) Left Rear Heated Seat High Indicator Driver circuit for a short to battery.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Left Rear Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
