Cabin Compartment Node (CCN)
B1987-LEFT POWER SLIDING DOOR SWITCH STUCK
- When Monitored:
Whenever the Cluster/CCN is awake.
- Set Condition:
When the Cluster/CCN senses approximately 3.0 volts on the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit for longer than 10 seconds, this code will set.
1. DTC PRESENT
1. With the scan tool, record the DTCs.
2. Erase the DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
4. Operate the Left Power Sliding Doors several times from the Power Sliding Door Overhead switch.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. CHECK THE POWER SLIDING DOOR OVERHEAD SWITCH FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Disconnect the Switch-Bank 2 (PREMIUM) harness connector.
2. Erase the DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
4. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Overhead Switch Bank assembly.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
3. CHECK THE (G23) SLIDING DOORS OVERHEAD SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit in the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 10,000 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
