B19B7-LEFT POWER SLIDING DOOR DRIVE CLUTCH CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW









- When Monitored:
Anytime the Left Power Sliding Door is in a power open or close operation.

- Set Condition:
This code will set when the Left Power Sliding Door module senses the Left Power Sliding Door Clutch Driver Circuit is less than 1.0 volt while the clutch is engaged. The drive clutch voltage can be read through the scan tool.


Possible Causes:






1. CHECK FOR DTCs

1. With the scan tool, record the DTCs and any power sliding door inhibitors.
2. Erase the DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
4. Attempt to operate the Left Power Sliding Door.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and poor pin fit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test

2. CHECK THE LEFT POWER SLIDING DOOR

1. Examine the Left Power Sliding Door for proper alignment, worn or binding rollers and hinges, loose/damaged weatherstrip, and track assembly for wear or anything that would cause an obstruction to proper operation.
2. If necessary manually operate the Left Power Sliding Door on a known good vehicle and notice the effort needed to open and close for comparison.
3. Especially notice the effort needed to unlatch and close the Left Power Sliding Door.

Were there any mechanical problems found?

Yes

- Refer to Service information for the related symptom(s).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test

No

- Go To 3

3. CHECK THE LEFT POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE HARNESS







NOTE: At this time it will be necessary to remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle.

NOTE: Be sure the battery is fully charged before proceeding

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle in accordance with the Service Information.
3. Remove the Power Sliding Door Module from the assembly.
4. Be sure the Power Sliding Door Module C1 connector is disconnected.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. Using a 12-volt test light, connect one end to the (A959) Fused B(+) circuit and the other to the (Z908) Ground in the PSD Module C1 harness connector.

NOTE: The test light must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery.

Does the test tight illuminate brightly?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Repair the open in the (A959) Fused B(+) circuit or the (Z908) Ground circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test

4. ACTUATE THE DOOR MOTOR CLUTCH CIRCUIT







1. Reconnect the PSD Module C1 harness connector to the module.
2. Connect a voltmeter between the Door Motor Clutch Driver circuit and the Door Motor Clutch Return circuit in the PSDM C2 (component side) 8 way connector.
3. Measure the voltage between the Door Motor Clutch Driver circuit and the Door Motor Clutch Return circuit in the PSDM C2 (component side) 8 way connection.
4. With the scan tool, actuate the Drive Clutch Engage.

Is the voltage between 12.5 and 13.8 volts when the clutch is activated?

Yes

- Replace the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the Power Sliding Door Learn Cycle procedure. Programming and Relearning
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Power Sliding Door Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the Power Sliding Door Learn Cycle procedure. Programming and Relearning
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
