B1D5B-ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SWITCH CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE
- When Monitored:
The Pedals Memory Switch is in active operation.
- Set Condition:
The Memory Seat Module receives a conflicting input from the Pedals Memory Switch following an Pedals Memory Switch activation.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. Using a scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.
4. Cycle the Pedals Memory Switch forward and rearward, then wait five seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: DTC B1D5B-ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SWITCH CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the APS INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. Testing and Inspection.
2. CHECK THE (Q102)/(Q103) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH FORWARD/REARWARD CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER
1. Turn the ignition off to the lock position.
2. Disconnect the Memory Seat Module C5 harness connector.
3. Disconnect the Pedals Memory Switch connector.
NOTE: Check connectors. Clean and repair as necessary.
4. Measure the resistance between the (Q102) Adjustable Pedals Switch Forward circuit and the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit at the Pedals Memory Switch harness connector.
Is the resistance below 10K Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (Q102) Adjustable Pedals Switch Forward circuit for a short to (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit.
- Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. APS Verification Test.
No
- Go To 3
3. CHECK THE (Q102)/(Q103) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH FORWARD/REARWARD CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Measure the resistance of the (Q102) Adjustable Pedals Switch Forward circuit between ground and the Pedals Memory Switch harness connector.
2. Measure the resistance of the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit between ground and the Pedals Memory Switch harness connector.
Is the resistance below 10K Ohms for any measurement?
Yes
- Repair the short to ground in the (Q102) Adjustable Pedals Switch Forward circuit or (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit.
- Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. APS Verification Test.
No
- Go To 4
4. CHECK THE (Q102)/(Q103) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH FORWARD/REARWARD CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO (Z905) GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (Q102) Adjustable Pedals Switch Forward circuit and the (Z905) Ground circuit at the Pedals Memory Switch harness connector.
2. Measure the resistance between the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit and the (Z905) Ground circuit at the Pedals Memory Switch harness connector.
Is the resistance below 10K Ohms for any measurement?
Yes
- Repair the short between the (Q102) Adjustable Pedals Switch Forward circuit or (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit and the (Z905) Ground circuit.
- Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. APS Verification Test.
