Fold Stow Module (FSM)

B210D-BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW







- When Monitored:
Engine running, during seat motor operation.

- Set Condition:
This code is set immediately after the Folding Seat Module (FSM) receives a low charging system voltage message over the CAN Interior Bus or detects voltage under 9.5 volts on the (A905) Fused B(+) circuit.





1. CHECK PCM/ECM FOR CHARGING SYSTEM DTC
1. With the scan tool, read ECM/PCM DTC's.

Are there any Charging System DTC's set in the ECM/PCM?

Yes

- Testing and Inspection for Charging System diagnostic procedures.

No

- Go To 2

2. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position then start the engine and operate the folding seat.
3. With the scan tool, read DTC's.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.

3. (A905) B(+) CIRCUIT OPEN




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Gain access to the Power Folding Seat C392 12 way in-line connector.
3. Start the engine and let idle.
4. Backprobe and measure the voltage on the (A905) B(+) circuit at the in-line harness connector and compare to voltage at the vehicle battery.

Is the voltage at the (A905) B(+) circuit the same as measured at the battery?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Repair the (A905) B(+) circuit as necessary.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.

4. (Z910) GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN




1. Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, check the (Z910) Ground circuit at the C392 12 way in-line harness connector.

Does the test light illuminate brightly?

Yes

- Test the (A905) B(+) and the (Z910) Ground circuits from the C392 12 way in-line connector to the Folding Seat Module C1 connector and repair if necessary, if both circuits are OK replace the Folding Seat Module.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.

No

- Repair the (Z910) Ground circuit as necessary.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.
