Power Sliding Door Module, Left (PSDML)



B2273-POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE IDENTIFICATION CIRCUIT









NOTE: This code can set if a module from another vehicle was installed that had originally been from the opposite side (Left/Right side). This test is for a Left side module.

- When Monitored:
Whenever the battery is connected.

- Set Condition:
When the Left (Driver side) Power Sliding Door Module looses the Left Side Identifier Jumper (ground) circuit, for over one second, this code will set.


Possible Causes:






1. DTC PRESENT

1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
2. Cycle the ignition switch from On to Off.
3. Wait 3O seconds.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion corrosion pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test

2. (D85) LEFT (DRIVER) SIDE IDENTIFIER JUMPER OPEN







NOTE: At this time it will be necessary to remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle to gain access to the harness.

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit from the vehicle in accordance with the Service Information.
3. Left Power Sliding Door Module C1 (6 way) harness connector.
4. Measure the resistance of the (D85) Left Side Identifier Jumper (between cavities 1 and 4 in the harness connector).

NOTE: This jumper is to identify the module that is on the left side of the vehicle. The right side harness does not have this jumper.

Is the resistance below 1.0 Ohm?


Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Repair or replace the Left Power Sliding Door Module C1 harness connector or harness as necessary.
- Go To 3

3. GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN







1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Using a 12 volt test light connected to 12 volts, test the (Z908) Ground circuit in the module harness connector.

Does the test light illuminate brightly?

Yes

- Replace the Left Power Sliding Door Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the Power Sliding Door Learn Cycle procedure. Programming and Relearning
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test

No

- Repair or replace the Left Power Sliding Door Harness for an open ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
