Power Sliding Door Module, Right (PSDMR)
B2273-POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE IDENTIFICATION CIRCUIT
NOTE: This code can set if a module from another vehicle was installed that had originally been from the opposite side (Left/Right side). The Right side harness does NOT have the Jumper between cavities 1 and 4. Notice the mini schematic above.
- When Monitored:
Whenever the Power Sliding Door Module is awake.
- Set Condition:
When the scan tool cannot identify the Right Power Sliding Door Module from the Left Power Sliding Door Module, this code will set.
Possible Causes:
1. CHECK FOR DTCs
1. With the scan tool, record the DTCs and any power sliding door inhibitors.
2. Erase the DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
4. Attempt to operate the Right Power Sliding Door.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
NOTE: If the scan tool displays the B198E, B198F, B1991 or B1992 DTC, repair any of those DTCs before proceeding.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
2. CHECK THE POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE CONNECTOR AND HARNESS
NOTE: At this time it will be necessary to remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle to gain access to the harness.
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the Right Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle in accordance with the Service Information.
3. Disconnect the Power Sliding Door Module C1 harness 6 way connector.
4. Measure the resistance of the (D85) Left Side Identifier Jumper (between cavities 1 and 4 in the harness connector).
NOTE: This jumper is to identify the module that is for the LEFT side of the vehicle. The RIGHT side harness does not have this jumper.
Does the Right Power Sliding Door Module C1 (6 Way) Harness Connector have this jumper. Is the resistance below 50K Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the C1 connector or harness. There should not be a jumper in the Right Side connector.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
No
- Replace the Right Power Sliding Door Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the Power Sliding Door Learn Cycle procedure. Programming and Relearning
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
