B2563-POWER SLIDING DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT HIGH







- When Monitored:
Whenever the Cluster/CCN is awake.

- Set Condition:
When the Cluster/CCN senses voltage over 4.95 volts (switch connected) on the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit for longer than 10 seconds, this code will set.





1. DTC PRESENT
1. With the scan tool, record DTCs.
2. Erase DTCs
3. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
4. Turn the park lamps on and turn the instrument panel lamps full bright.
5. Operate the Power Sliding Door several times from the Overhead Power Sliding Door switch.
6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. CHECK (G23) SLIDING DOORS OVERHEAD SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE




1. Disconnect the Switch-Bank 2 (PREMIUM) harness connector.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. Measure the voltage between ground and the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit in the Switch-Bank 2 (PREMIUM) harness connector.

Is the voltage above 5.0 volts?

No

- Go To 3

Yes

- Go To 5

3. CHECK THE (Z905) GROUND CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN




1. Turn the ignition and the park lamps off.
2. Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, check the (Z905) Ground circuits in the Switch-Bank 2 (PREMIUM) harness connector.

Does the test light illuminate brightly?

No

- Repair the (Z905) Ground circuits for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

Yes

- Go To 4

4. CHECK THE (G23) SLIDING DOORS OVERHEAD SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
3. Measure the resistance of the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit between the Switch-Bank-2 (PREMIUM) harness connector and the Instrument Cluster C2 connector.

Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

No

- Repair the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

Yes

- Replace the Switch Bank.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

5. CHECK THE (G23) SLIDING DOORS OVERHEAD SWITCH MUX WIRE FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Ensure the park lamps are still on and the instrument panel lamps are full bright.
5. Measure the voltage between ground and the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit in the Switch-Bank-2 (PREMIUM) harness connector.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
