INSTALLATION

1. Clean all rear maniverter gasket mounting surfaces.




2. Position the exhaust manifold and new gasket on the cylinder head. Install the fasteners (1). Tighten bolts starting at the center working outward to 28 N.m (250 in. lbs.).




3. Install the lower exhaust manifold-to-crossunder pipe fasteners. Tighten fasteners to 28 N.m (250 in. lbs.).




4. Install the exhaust maniverter upper heatshield (3) and the fasteners (1) and (3). Tighten fasteners to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.).
5. If installing a new maniverter, transfer the O2 sensors from the existing front maniverter.
6. Reconnect the O2 sensor harness connectors.




7. Reposition the oil dipstick tube and install the retaining bolt (1).
8. Install the radiator cooling fan assembly.
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
