REMOVAL

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the radiator cooling fan assembly.




3. Loosen the oil level indicator tube retaining bolt (1) and position oil level indicator tube and the dipstick out of the way.

4. Disconnect the upstream oxygen sensor harness connector.
5. Disconnect the downstream oxygen sensor harness connector.




6. Remove the 3 upper heat shield retainers (1), then remove the upper heat shield (2).




7. Remove the lower exhaust manifold crossover pipe retaining bolts (1).




8. Remove the upper exhaust maniverter retaining bolts (1), and the exhaust maniverter.
