Timing Cover

1. Using the seal pilot to (1) align the cover , install the cover to the housing and install the bolts. Tighten the bolts at the 3 and 9 o'clock position finger tight, then in a clockwise direction starting at the 3 o'clock position, tighten to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs).
2. Snug, but do not torque one bolt at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions. This centers the seal on the crankshaft.
3. Tighten the bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) in a circular pattern.
