Blind Spot Module (BSM)

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

Vehicle speed greater than 6 mph (9.6 km/h).

- Set Condition:
This DTC will set if the vehicle type is not identified or incorrectly identified.





BLIND SPOT MODULE (BSM)

NOTE: Diagnose and repair any Powertrain Control Module VIN or Communication DTCs before continuing with this test.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, select View DTCs.

Is this DTC active at this time?

Yes

- Use the scan tool and check vehicle configuration in Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). Diagnose any active TIPM DTCs. Testing and Inspection.

No

- Use the scan tool to read DTCs in all other modules. If any communication DTCs are present, perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Perform any Technical Service Bulletins that apply. If no problems are found, test is complete.
