Center Floor Console
CENTER FLOOR CONSOLE
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the automatic transmission floor shift assembly from the console floor shift bracket (2). Refer to Transaxle for the procedures covering the transaxle model and shifter type found in the vehicle.
3. Remove the four screws (1) that secure the console floor shift bracket to the floor panel transmission tunnel (3).
4. Raise the rear of the shift bracket far enough to disengage the alignment pin from the hole in the tunnel, then pull the bracket rearward far enough to disengage the two snap clips and the alignment pin from the instrument panel center support bracket.
5. Turn the shift bracket over to access and disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the connector receptacle for the Low Frequency (LF) antenna (1).
6. Remove the two screws that secure the LF antenna to the underside of the shift bracket.
7. Remove the LF antenna from the shift bracket.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the manual transmission floor shift assembly from the console floor shift bracket (1).
3. Remove the four screws (3) that secure the console floor shift bracket and the ground strap (2) to the floor panel transmission tunnel (4).
4. Raise the rear of the shift bracket far enough to disengage the alignment pin from the hole in the tunnel, then pull the shift bracket rearward far enough to disengage the two snap clips and the alignment pin from the instrument panel center support bracket.
5. Turn the shift bracket over to access and disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the connector receptacle for the Low Frequency (LF) antenna (2).
6. Remove the two screws that secure the LF antenna to the underside of the shift bracket.
7. Remove the LF antenna from the shift bracket.
