Liftgate Release Switch - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. With the liftgate lock and unlock switch latch tabs (3) oriented toward the outboard side of the mounting hole, insert switch pigtail wire and connector through the mounting hole from the outside of the handle and light bar unit (1).
2. Engage the fixed locator tabs on the pigtail wire end of the switch (2) above the inboard side of the mounting hole in the handle and light bar unit.
3. While holding the pigtail wire end of the switch firmly against the inboard side of the mounting hole, push the latch tab end of the switch through the mounting hole far enough for the two latch tabs to snap into place above the outboard side of the mounting hole in the handle and light bar unit.
4. Reinstall the handle and light bar unit onto the liftgate outer panel. Liftgate Exterior Handle - Installation.
5. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
