Fuel Injector - Removal

WARNING: Risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. Wear protective clothing and eye protection. Risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel. Pour fuel only into appropriately marked and approved containers. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

1. Release the fuel pressure Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
3. Remove engine cover.
4. Unlock and disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.





5. Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail Service and Repair.





6. Remove wire harness from fuel rail mounting studs.





7. Remove the 2 bolts from the fuel rail at the lower manifold.





8. Remove the fuel rail and injectors from the intake manifold.





9. Remove fuel injector clip holding fuel injector to fuel rail.





10. Remove fuel injector from fuel rail.
