Water Pump - Installation

6.7L DIESEL ENGINE










1. Install new O-ring seal (1) in groove (2) on water pump (3).










2. Install water pump (2) with the weep hole facing downward. Tighten mounting bolts (1) to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) torque.
3. Install generator assembly Generator - Installation.
4. Install accessory drive belt Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.
5. Install air box and tube assembly. For 5.9L Diesel,Air Cleaner Body - Installation. For 6.7L Diesel, Air Cleaner Body - Installation.
6. Install air filter housing Air Cleaner Body - Installation.
7. Evacuate air and refill cooling system.Coolant Air Evacuation
8. Connect both battery cables.
9. Start and warm the engine. Check for leaks.Component Tests and General Diagnostics
