Service Procedure

Apply the dataplate modification label as follows:

1. Raise the hood.





2. Locate the engine heat shield (Figure 1).

WARNING:
Do not attempt to install the label on a hot engine.The engine must be cold when installing the label.

3. Clean the dataplate modification label location surface of the engine heat shield with alcohol / glass cleaner or equivalent and a soft cloth to remove any dirt, oil residue or grease (Figure 1).

4. Remove the dataplate modification label from its paper backing and carefully install it to the engine heat shield (Figure 1). Firmly press and smooth the label to the surface of the engine heat shield to ensure good adhesion.
