Exterior Handle - Removal

REMOVAL

1.




Remove the liftgate trim panel Liftgate Trim Panel - Removal.

2. Disconnect the power locking latch cable (2) from the exterior liftgate handle and remove the cable from the handle.

3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (3) from the exterior liftgate handle.

4. Remove the two bolts (4) that secure the exterior liftgate handle to the liftgate.

5. Remove the four bolts (1) that secure the bezel to the liftgate.





6. Remove the pinch sensor retaining screw (4) near the cover (3) on both sides of the liftgate (2).

7. Remove the pinch sensor cover push in retainer (1) on both sides of the liftgate (2).





8. Open the pinch sensor cover (2) on both sides of the liftgate.

9. Pull the end of the pinch sensor (3) down enough to access the exterior body panel nut (1) under the sensor on both sides of the liftgate.

10. Remove the exterior body panel nuts (1) on both sides of the liftgate.





11. Remove center bezel panel (1) with license lamp carrier.
