Power Folding Third Row Seats

REMOVAL






1. Remove the affected third row power folding seat, Seat - Removal.

2. Remove the seat back panel.

3. Lift up on the headrest and push the release button on the headrest master sleeve.

4. Press the hidden release button on the headrest slave sleeve.

5. Remove the headrest(s).

6. Unzip the back cover to gain access to the headrest sleeves.

7. Reach up under seat back frame and pinch together the two retainer barbs located on each head restraint sleeve.

8. With the retainer barbs pinched together, pull the two headrest sleeves upward and out of the seat back.

9. Remove the seat back cushion and cover as one piece (1, 2).





NOTE:
40% seat shown, 60% seat similar.

10. Remove the seat back frame shields (1, 2).





NOTE:
Left side recliner hinge shown, right side is similar.

11. Remove the two upper bolts (1) from the recliner hinge.

12. Remove the two lower bolts (2) from the recliner hinge.





13. Remove the two screws (6) securing the crosstalk tube protect bracket (4) to the recliner assembly (5).





14. Remove the shield (2) from the recliner hinge (1).





15. Remove the torsion bar (1) by pulling out of the recliner hinge and through the motor.

NOTE:
If necessary, repeat steps 10-14 on the opposite side.
