Seat Back Hinge - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE:
Bench seats equipped with child restraint seats have an interlock feature that will not allow the seat back to fold forward with the child seat open.





1. If servicing the driver side seat back hinge (3), connect the cable end (1) of the recliner synchronizing cable to the locking tab (2) and pull the cable rearward to install the cable onto the hinge.





NOTE:
Passenger side shown. Driver side similar.

2. Position the seat back hinge (3) to the seat and install the retaining bolts (1 and 2). Tighten the bolts to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

3. Adjust synchronizing cable, if equipped Adjustments.
