B142B-00-VES UNIT HIGH TEMPERATURE

Possible Causes-B142B-00

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on and the Radio and External Disc Module turned on.

- Set Condition:
The code will set if the External Disc Module temperature rises above 60°C (140°F). The player may also shut down.





Diagnostic Test
RADIO
1. Move the vehicle to a shaded area and allow it to cool down.
2. Turn the ignition on when the vehicle interior is no warmer than the ambient temperature.
3. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
4. Turn the Radio and External Disc Module on and wait 90 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

Does the Scan Tool display: B142B-00-VES UNIT HIGH TEMPERATURE?

Yes

- Replace the External Disc Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test .

No

- Test Complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test .
