B1ED1-12
B1ED1-12-ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SENSOR-CIRCUIT SHORT TO BATTERY
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.
- When Monitored:
Continuously when the Memory Seat Module is active.
- Set Condition:
The Memory Seat Module-Driver (MSMD) detects a high signal circuit voltage that is not within voltage specification from the Adjustable Pedals Motor.
Diagnostic Test
1. CHECK IF THE DTC IS ACTIVE
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase Memory Seat Module-Driver (MSMD) DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.
4. Cycle the Adjustable Pedals Switch forward and rearward.
5. With the scan tool, read MSMD DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the APS INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. Testing and Inspection.
2. CHECK CONNECTOR/TERMINAL FOR DAMAGE
NOTE: Check all terminals for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals.
1. Turn the ignition off to the lock position.
2. Disconnect the Memory Seat Module C1 harness connector.
3. Disconnect the Adjustable Pedals Motor harness connector.
4. Inspect the Memory Seat Module harness connector, Adjustable Pedals Motor, and Adjustable Pedals Motor harness connector.
5. Check all terminals for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals.
Is the Adjustable Pedals Motor or any of the connectors/terminals damaged?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
No
- Go To 3
3. CHECK THE (G13) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. Measure the voltage between ground and the (G13) Adjustable Pedals Sensor Supply circuit and ground in the Memory Seat Module C1 harness connector.
Is the voltage above 5.0 volts?
Yes
- Repair the (G13) Adjustable Pedals Sensor Supply circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
No
- Replace and program the Memory Seat Module (MSMD). Memory Seat Module - Removal.
- Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
