Stand Alone Switch

STAND ALONE SWITCH






1. Unlatch and open the hood.

2. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery.

3. Remove the six plastic push in retainers that secure the upper seal to the upper grille support, the upper radiator cross member and the front fender flanges.

4. Remove the upper seal from the vehicle.

5. Working from the top of the mounting bracket (3) on the upper radiator cross member (1), squeeze the two stand alone hood ajar switch latch tabs (5) together far enough to pull the switch (4) upward.

6. Pull the switch up through the hole in the mounting bracket far enough to access and disconnect the wire harness connector from the switch connector receptacle.

7. Remove the stand alone hood ajar switch from the vehicle.
