The Heated Seat Switches (1, 5 on center bezel or 1 on U-Connect touch screen view) are momentary contact push button switches mounted in the instrument panel center bezel that operate the heated seat system. Each heated seat switch has two Light-Emitting Diode (LED) indicator lamps, which indicate the selected level (Low or High) of the seat heater. Pressing the switch initiates heat. Heat remains on until switched off or until the ignition is turned off. If switched off by the ignition, a switch must be pressed to restart heating.

The LED indicator lamps in each heated seat switch cannot be repaired. If the LED lamps are faulty or damaged, or the switch is inoperative or damaged the switch bank assembly must be replaced. If the issue is with the U-Connect selection, conventional diagnostic methods will not prove conclusive in the diagnosis of the electronic controls and communication between other modules and devices that provide some features of the heating and cooled accessories U-Connect touch screen operation. The most reliable, efficient, and accurate means to diagnose the electronic controls and communication related to heating and cooled accessories U-Connect touch screen operation requires the use of a diagnostic scan tool.
