B1E34-3RD ROW SEAT RIGHT BACKREST SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
Continuously.

- Set Condition:
When the Folding Seat Module detects the (P280) Right Seat Recliner Switch MUX circuit voltage is below.9 volts.





Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition On.
2. With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
3. Operate the Folding Seat Recliner Switch several times.
4. With the scan tool, read DTC's.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.

2. POWER FOLDING SEAT SWITCH SHORTED TO GROUND
1. With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
2. Disconnect the Right Power Rear Folding Seat Recliner Switch harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition On.
4. With the scan tool, read DTC's.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the Right Power Rear Folding Seat Recliner Switch.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.

3. (P280) RIGHT SEAT RECLINER SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO (P281) SEAT RECLINER SWITCH RETURN




1. Turn the ignition Off.
2. Disconnect the Power Rear Folding Seat Module C6 harness connector.
3. Measure the resistance between the (P280) Right Seat Recliner Switch MUX and the (P281) Seat Recliner Switch Return circuit at the switch connector.

Is the resistance above 10k ohms?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Repair the (P280) Right Seat Recliner Switch MUX circuit for a short to the (P281) Seat Recliner Switch Return circuit.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.

4. (P280) LEFT SEAT RECLINER SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




1. The ignition is Off.
2. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P280) Right Seat Recliner Switch MUX circuit at the switch connector.

Is the resistance above 10k ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Power Rear Folding Seat Module.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.

No

- Repair the (P280) Right Seat Recliner Switch MUX circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.
