B142E-13-GPS ANTENNA NOT CONNECTED - CIRCUIT OPEN
Special Tools:

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on and the Telematics Gateway (TGW) in navigation mode.
- Set Condition:
This DTC sets when the TGW does not detect a Global Positioning System (GPS) Antenna connection.
1. CHECK THE ANTENNA CONNECTION
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the GPS Antenna connectors.
3. Inspect the GPS Antenna connections.
Are the Antenna connections clean and secure?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Repair the Antenna connection as needed.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. CHECK THE ANTENNA AND CABLE
1. Connect the Radio Diagnostic Tool to the Satellite/ GPS Antenna connection on the back of the TGW.
2. Make sure one of the front doors is still open.
3. Using the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Turn the TGW on.
6. Using the scan tool, read the active TGW DTCs.
Does the scan tool read: B142E-13 GPS ANTENNA NOT CONNECTED- OPEN CIRCUIT as active?
Yes
- Replace the TGW. Telematics Gateway Module - Removal.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 3
3. TEST THE SATELLITE ANTENNA CABLE
1. Disconnect the Satellite/ GPS Antenna cable at the Satellite Antenna.
2. Connect the appropriate Radio Diagnostic Tool or to the Satellite/ GPS Antenna cable at the back of the TGW.
3. Connect the appropriate Radio Diagnostic Tool or to the Satellite/ GPS Antenna cable at the Satellite Antenna base.
4. Measure the Resistance across the terminals on the tool.
Is the resistance above 52.5 Ohms?
Yes
- Use the Radio Diagnostic Tool to locate the open circuit, repair or replace the Satellite Antenna cable as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Satellite Antenna base.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
