SUBJECT:
When The Doors Are Locked Using A Door Panel Lock Button, FOBIK Safe Feature

Activates Regardless Of Where The FOBIK Is Located.

OVERVIEW:
Reconfiguring the vehicle will disable the FOBIK Safe feature. Police vehicles are not intended to have the FOBIK Safe feature activated.

MODELS:

2011 (LD) Charger (Police Only)

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built before May 20, 2011 (MDH 0520XX) equipped with Police Group (sales code AHB).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
On some police vehicles the FOBIK Safe feature will activate, regardless of the FOBIK location, if a door trim lock button is used to lock the vehicle.

With FOBIK Safe active the vehicle will wait three seconds, chirp the horn, and then unlock the door.

DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer experiences the Symptom/Condition perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Using wiTECH, reconfigure the vehicle to disable FOBIK Safe. This routine is available under the 'Diagnostic Procedures' tab found on the home, 'Vehicle View', page of wiTECH.

2. Using wiTECH clear any DTCs which may have been set.
