B1001-55-RKE FOB - KEY NOT PROGRAMMED

Theory of Operation
The RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) Fob is the right one for the vehicle but has not been programmed.
- When Monitored:
Continuously whenever the Body Control Module (BCM) is awake.
- Set Condition:
When the key is inserted into the ignition switch and the BCM recognizes that the present key has not been programmed.
TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
NOTE: If a new RKE Fob has to be programmed, ALL keys used in this vehicle MUST be present.
1. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
2. Be sure the ignition is on.
3. Wait 30 seconds.
4. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display; B1001-55-RKE FOB - KEY NOT PROGRAMMED?
Yes
- Using the scan tool, program ALL RKE Fobs that are used in this vehicle.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. The RKE Fob that set this code is not present in the ignition at this time.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
