B1003-49-GSM/GPRS - INTERNAL ELECTRONIC FAILURE

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.

- When Monitored:
When the ignition is cycled on.

- Set Condition:
The DTC will set if the modem inside the Vehicle Tracking Module (VTM) fails to initialize 10-15 consecutive times when the ignition is cycled on.





CHECK FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, erase the VTM DTCs.
2. Cycle the ignition switch from on to off, wait five seconds and then back to on.
3. With the scan tool, read the VTM DTCs.

Does the scan tool display: B1003-49-GSM/GPRS - INTERNAL ELECTRONIC FAILURE as active?

Yes

- Replace the Vehicle Tracking Module. Vehicle Tracking Module - Removal.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
