B1037-19-DRIVER DOOR AJAR TCM OUTPUT - OVER CURRENT

Theory of Operation
This DTC is for a Latin American, Manual Transmission vehicle only. B1037-19 should never set in a North American vehicle.
- When Monitored:
Whenever the BCM is awake.
- Set Condition:
This code will set thirty seconds after the driver door is opened and the Body Control Module (BCM) detects a high condition on the (G75) Driver Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit.
1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION
NOTE: This test is for a Latin American, Manual Transmission vehicle only.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase BCM DTCs.
3. Open the driver door.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B1037-19-DRIVER DOOR AJAR TCM OUTPUT - OVER CURRENT?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. (G75) DRIVER DOOR AJAR SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Driver Door Latch harness connector.
3. Disconnect the Body Control Module (BCM) C1 harness connector.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Measure the voltage between ground and the (G75) Driver Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit in the Driver Door Latch harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the short to voltage in the (G75) Driver Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the BCM. Body Control Module - Removal.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
