B12D3-23-REAR WASHER - SIGNAL STUCK LOW

Theory of Operation

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives a hardwired signal from the Right Multi-function Switch indicating that the rear washer is requested. For additional information on the Wash Mode operation, Rear.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
The BCM detects the Rear Washer input is active for more than 30 seconds.





CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC

NOTE: Make sure the Right Multi-function Switch is free to move forward or rearward and returns to the normal position when released.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Press the Rear Washer Switch twice.
3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Replace the Right Multi-function Switch. Right Multifunction Switch - Removal.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
