C1200-16-BATTERY VOLTAGE - BELOW THRESHOLD
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.
- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
The Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Module detects voltage on the Fused B(+) circuit under 9 volts for two (2) seconds, or a single measurement under six (6) volts.
NOTE: Diagnose and repair any system voltage DTCs before continuing with this test.
CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. Disconnect the EPS Module C1 harness connector.
2. Look for broken, bent, pushed out or corroded terminals. Verify that there is good pin to terminal contact. Repair as necessary.
3. Reconnect the EPS Module C1 harness connector.
4. With the scan tool, read the active EPS Module DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Replace the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Assembly. Steering Column - Removal.
- Perform the EPS VERIFICATION TEST. EPS Verification Test.
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
