C120A-24-ESC SWITCH - SIGNAL STUCK HIGH

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.

- When Monitored:
Continuous monitoring.

- Set Condition:
If the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module senses voltage from the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Switch for longer than 20 seconds.





1. VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE

NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.

1. Perform any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) that may apply.
2. Ignition on, engine not running.
3. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs.
4. Using the scan tool, read and record Environmental Data.
5. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Is the DTC active at this time?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Perform the ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. ABS Intermittent Condition Test.

2. ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) SWITCH
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the ESC Switch harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the DTC remain active?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Switch. Description and Operation.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.

3. ESC ON/OFF SENSE CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the ABS Module harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the voltage of the ESC ON/OFF Sense circuit at the ABS MODULE harness connector.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the ESC ON/OFF Sense circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Anti-lock Bake System (ABS) Module. Anti-Lock Brake System Module - Removal.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.
