C1210-86-ABS/ESC LAMP COMMUNICATION - INVALID SIGNAL

- When Monitored:
Ignition on.
- Set Condition:
The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module is receiving invalid messages from the Body Control Module (BCM) this DTC is set.
1. VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE
NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.
1. Perform any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) that may apply.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. With the scan tool, read and record the DTCs.
4. With the scan tool, read and record the Environmental Data to help identify the conditions in which the DTC was set.
5. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
6. Start the engine.
7. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Is the DTC active at this time?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. ABS Intermittent Condition Test.
2. ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE
1. Replace the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module. Anti-Lock Brake System Module - Removal.Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
4. Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the DTC remain active?
Yes
- Replace the Body Control Module (BCM). Body Control Module - Removal.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.
No
- Test complete.
