Diagnostic Test
CHECK CRANK/CAM SENSOR SYNCHRONIZATION

NOTE:
If P0219 is set in conjunction with any type of powertrain damage (Engine, Transmission and/or Driveline) record the freeze frame date associated with this code and retain for further diagnosis.

NOTE: If there are any DTCs stored for the Crank Sensor or Cam Sensor, perform those diagnostics before proceeding with this test procedure.

1. Start the engine.
2. With the scan tool, check the Crank/Cam Sensor Sync.
3. Wiggle test the wiring harness and connectors while observing the scan tool.

Did the Crank Sensor and Cam Sensor lose Sync while wiggle testing the wiring?

Yes

- Repair the intermittent connection.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.

No

- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Intermittent Condition Test.
