P16A1-ETC SELF LEARNING (BATTERY)

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on during the Throttle Body Self Learn procedure.
- Set Condition:
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the battery voltage is too low while performing the Throttle Body Self Learn with the scan tool.
Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting Procedure.
1. DTC IS ACTIVE
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. With the scan tool, perform the Throttle Body Self Learn procedure.
3. With the scan tool, select View DTCs.
Did the DTC return during the self learn procedure?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Intermittent Condition Test.
2. CHECK THE EGR AIRFLOW CONTROL VALVE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Using the appropriate battery charger, charge the battery.
3. Verify the scan tool you are using is at the latest calibration level.
4. Perform the Throttle Body Self Learn procedure with the scan tool.
Does the DTC set again?
Yes
- Replace the Powertrain Control Module. PCM/ECM Reprogramming.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.
No
- Test Complete.
