Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting Procedure.
DTC IS ACTIVE
NOTE: Diagnose any TP Sensor, Crankshaft Position Sensor, Camshaft Position Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Ambient Air Temperature Sensor, or Vehicle Speed Sensor DTCs before continuing.
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. With the scan tool, clear DTCs in the PCM.
3. Cycle the ignition key off and on several times, leaving the ignition on for at least 10.0 seconds at a time.
4. With the scan tool, perform the Throttle Body Self Learning routine.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- If no other DTCs are present, replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). PCM/ECM Reprogramming.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Intermittent Condition Test.
