Headliner - Removal

REMOVAL






NOTE: In the event the headliner is damaged or creased during removal, it will need to be replaced with a new headliner.

NOTE: Sunroof equipped headliner shown, non sunroof headliner similar except where noted.

1. Use a suitable prop to hold the headliner in place.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the grab handle trim pieces (1, 2). Repeat for opposite side.





4. Remove the fasteners (2) securing the grab handle (1).
5. Remove the grab handle (1). Repeat for the opposite side.





6. Remove the overhead console, Overhead Console - Removal.
7. Unclip the visor (2) from the support.
8. Remove the screw (1) from the visor base.
9. Slide the visor inward and out to remove. Repeat for opposite side.





10. Remove the B-pillar trim, B-Pillar Trim Panel - Removal.
11. Remove the C-pillar trim, C-Pillar Trim Panel - Removal.
12. Remove the fastener (2) from the visor support (3) and remove.





13. Using a small pick tool, remove the retaining clip from the coat hook (1) and remove the coat hook. Repeat for the opposite side.





14. Non-sunroof equipped models, remove the front push pin fasteners from the headliner (2).
15. Remove the rear push pin fasteners (1) from the headliner (2).





16. Remove the prop supporting the headliner (1).
17. Lower the headliner.
18. Pull the headliner (1) rearward and out the liftgate area.
