INSTALLATION






CAUTION: Use care when installing the caliper onto the adapter bracket to avoid damaging the guide pin boots.

1. Completely retract the caliper piston back into the bore of the caliper. Use a C-clamp to retract the piston. Place a wood block over the piston before installing the C-clamp to avoid damaging the piston.
2. Install the disc brake caliper over the brake pads on the brake caliper adapter bracket.
3. Align the caliper guide pin bolt holes with the adapter bracket. Install the caliper guide pin bolts (2) and tighten to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the brake hose connector (2) to the brake caliper and tighten to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
5. Install brake hose fitting to brake line connector (4) and tighten to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Install brake hose to mounting location on strut (3) and secure with the clip.





7. Install the tire and wheel assembly Tires And Wheels - Installation.
8. Lower the vehicle.





9. Remove the brake pedal holding tool.





10. Bleed the caliper as necessary Service and Repair.
11. Road test the vehicle and make several stops to wear off any foreign material on the brakes and to seat the brake shoes.
